[edit] Chart performance
Upon its released "Something about Us/Like Ice in the Sunshine" became the No Angels' third single to enter the top position on the German singles chart when it debuted on May 17, 2002. The single remained at number-one for four consecutive weeks, before it fell down to number three, eventually leaving the top ten in early July 2002. The song fell out off the Top 100 the same week, its follow-up "Still in Love with You" was released on Maxi CD.
In Austria, "Something about Us" debuted at number four. The song managed to climb to number two, before eventually reaching number 1 in its third and only week on top of the singles charts. In Switzerland, the song underperformed with a peak position of number 31 in its first week. However, in the following week "Something about Us" jumped to number 11 due to a major increase in sales and radio support.
The single became another top twenty hit for the band when it peaked at number eleven on the composite European Official Top 100 chart. While it declined constantly there, the song saw an up and down going trajectory on the World Singles Top 100, eventually peaking at number thirty-six in late October - two month after its first official release. "Somehting about Us" fared better in the official Airplay World 100, reaching its peak position, number twenty-two, in its third week only.
