[edit] Trivia

  • The common factor between Jayam Ravi's earlier films, Jayam, M. Kumaran son of Mahalakshmi and Something Something ... Unnakum Ennakum is that all three movies are produced by their father, Editor Mohan and they are all remakes of Telugu films which did well at the box office.
  • This is Jayam Ravi's first time acting opposite a well established actress, Trisha. Previously he has only acted with newcomers like Sadha, Renuka Menon, Kamna Jethmalani and at the time Asin.
  • To shoot the village scenes, 5 acres of land at the base of a hill, were leased at Kudiraikulipatipallam near Aathur and converted into a farm. The song sequences are to be shot in Chennai as well as London.
  • Previously Parthiban, Mammootty and Sarath Kumar were offered to do the role done by Srihari in Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana who played Trisha's doting brother but they all rejected the offer. Finally, Prabhu agreed to do the role. Prabhu's role as Trisha's brother has earned him praise.
