Somerleyton railway station
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Somerleyton railway station is a quiet rural two-platform station serving the village of Somerleyton in Suffolk, England. It is less than two miles on foot from Somerleyton Hall which is open to the public.
In The Rings Of Saturn the author W. G. Sebald describes travelling by rail from Norwich and crossing the line to walk to the Hall. In actual fact, he would not have needed to cross the line from that direction.
