"Someone Tell Sam Jackson He's My Bro" was a music video and song released in 2006 by popular internet comedian DCLugi. It became an internet phenomenon after it was made a daily feature on YouTube.com and gained further recognition prior to the release of the highly-awaited summer movie Snakes on a Plane. The song is a parody of the U2 song Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own and cleverly reworks the lyrics to tie in with Samuel L. Jackson and most prominently Snakes on a Plane. The video sees DCLugi dressed as U2's lead singer Bono telling Samuel L. Jackson how much his movies mean to him whilst referencing various things that were known about Snakes on a Plane prior to its release. For example, the now infamous line "Get these motherfucking snakes off this motherfucking plane!" is included in the lyrics. Samuel L. Jackson himself was quoted as having loved the parody and found the nature of the video and the premise very funny.
