"Someone's Watching over Me" is a pop song written by Kara DioGuardi and John Shanks, and produced by Shanks for Hilary Duff's self-titled second album Hilary Duff (2004). Jeff Rothschild and Shanks mixed the song.[1] It was released as the album's second single outside the U.S. in 2005 (see 2005 in music), and in Australia it peaked at number twenty-two and remained in the top forty for nine weeks.[2] Duff's character in the 2004 film Raise Your Voice performs the song at the film's climax, and that scene served as the single's video, which premiered on ABC Broadband in mid-January.[3] Its B-side is a cover of The Who's "My Generation".
