Solicitor General of Ontario

The Ministry of the Solicitor General of Ontario is responsible for police and other law enforcement agencies in the province.
The Ministry delivers and administers a wide range of law enforcement services including:
- Ontario Provincial Police
- provincial corrections facilities
- Special Investigations Unit - an agency to probe incidents between police and the public
- enforcing the Police Services Act
As of 2005, the Solicitor General (or Minister of Public Safety and Security) of Ontario is the Honourable Monte Kwinter.
