Solangi is a Sindhi tribe in Sindh, Pakistan. It is said that they converted from Machhi into solangi. But in reality they are different people with ancient history. They remained rulers of ancient India, long before advent of Islam.

In present day, most of them are poor. But there are exceptions as well. You can find solangis in all walks of life, from Army to Engineers and Doctors.
