[edit] Need your Help
I need support in editing the page for Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh from Pakistani-Wikipedians. The page concludes Pakistans link to 9/11 using information from Indian press and much information in that page is without proper references. The page says that ISI gives money to Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh and Sheikh then wired the money to Atta. I have checked some of the references on that page and information in the references is different from what is mentioned in it. I will appreciate any help because I have very less free time these days... Faisal 16:59, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] List of Pakistani television stations and List of Pakistani television and radio channels
Don't merge. The Television and radio stations in Pakistan must have sepearate pages. Pakistan with five regional languages and 165 million people will have hundreds of radio and television stations. The online radio stations are also becaming easier and cheaper to maintain, soon people will adding these channels also. The mass media is exploding and one page will not be enough. We must have seperate pages:
- List of Television Stations of Pakistan
- List of Radio Stations of Pakistan

[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Indus.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Indus.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. [edit] Awesome work
Your edits to {{Territorial Capitals in Pakistan}} make it look much better. Thank you! — Donama 01:25, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Jerry Stackhouse.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Jerry Stackhouse.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] category and image links
Hey. I came across your userpage and I'd just like to point out that you can link to categories and images without using them by addina a colon at the start of the link, like this Category:Food and the same for images Image:Test.jpg. Hope that helps. SeventyThree(Talk) 15:26, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Help?
Will you consider commenting on some AfD nominations and merge-delete propositions that I believe are an attempt to drive off a good editor? (OK, she's my wife. But she's exhausted by this fight; her articles are written in good faith and this editor is making a mockery of WP.)

[edit] India -> India + Pakistan + Bangladesh
I and User:Rama's Arrow were discussing [1] linkage of pages to India when refer to pre-1947 India (undivided India). Please have a look at discussion, and comment. You can also invite user interested in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. Following is statement to start:
India after 1947 consists of three countries, Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. When we use word India, in articles, refereeing to whole India, links are such that they bring us to present day India (Republic of India), reducing size of pre-1947 India considerably. Is it possible that when we refer to pre-1947 India we use a term which encompasses whole India not just present day India? Please comment.
Following are suggestions:
- British India
- Indian Subcontinent
- Undivided India
- or disamg page of India.

[edit] Connecticut template
I created redirects to Connecticut today for Southwestern Connecticut, Inland Connecticut, Coastal Connecticut, to de-redlink them. I don't mind writing up the articles but I'm confused on something--I'm from CT originally, I can do up something nice for Coastal--easy enough for that. But to me, growing up in Bridgeport and Stratford, "inland" was simply anything not directly on LI sound. Do we really need that as a category/region? It's kind of an oxymoron for a coastal state. As for southwestern, I can write that up as well, as it really should be seperate from the "Gold Coast".
Thoughts on getting rid of "Inland Connecticut" as a category from the template and simply leaving it as a redirect back to Connecticut? If no one objects in a few days I'll just remove it. I posted this on Template_talk:Connecticut as well. rootology (T) 08:11, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Info on Islamophobic group
Hello,
What follows are the thoughts, expressed in their own words, and in the 'protest signs', of the obscure, very small, but very vocal 'activist group' known as "Protest Warrior".
"What's becoming clear is how the religion of Islam is addicted to war and mayhem. Not a radical minority, not a rogue sect, but its very essence is about submission and sacrifice and proving your worth by worshipping death in this life to gain a paradise of orgies and drunkenness. Their entire history is of warfare, and any accomplishments of their so-called Golden Age has been proven to be merely parasitic off the cultures they've conquered and reduced to dhimmi servitude. That every country under sharia is corrupt, belligerent, desolate and barbaric obviously gives them no pause, except to constantly drive them into further psychotic rage as they refuse to ever accept any responsibility for their conditions. They are akin to the powers in Orwell's 1984; there must always be an enemy. It's no surprise that women are treated like property in these countries as that's the only way Muslim men can feed their egos, to dominate others rather than ever actually produce something."
Kfir Alfia and Alan Lipton, founders of "Protest Warrior"
Their 'protest signs'...
I thought you might be interested in this group's sentiments. They are currently very actively editing their own article on Wiki and there is a lot of 'group think'. Perhaps you might want to become involved in the editing and discussion process on that page. If you do, please don't vandalize, and try to remain civil. Should you not want to involve youself, please forgive my intrusion.

[edit] Hi there
Hi, I would definitely love to collaborate. I'm going to be adding pictures of Manchester into the page. I always think it's really cool to be able to have visuals.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:PalTalk.gif
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:PalTalk.gif. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:MBC FM.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:MBC FM.gif. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jesse Viviano 04:23, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Jal logo.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Jal logo.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz Saalfeld (Talk) 12:17, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
