Sogecable (IBEX-35: SGC) is the leading pay TV company in Spain, operating a number of premium channels in the country including the Canal+ networks. It is also the owner of the free-to-air channel Cuatro TV, which began broadcasting on November 7, 2005. The media conglomerate PRISA and the communications firm Telefónica own significant stakes in the company.
Sogecable S.A. has filed an objection against the trademark "Wikipedia" by Wikimedia Foundation on November 14, 2005.
