Soft Skull Press is a independent press, founded by Sander Hicks in 1992. It has published an array of fiction and non-fiction by authors such as Wanda Phipps, Mark Ames, Paul Berman, Lisa Crystal Carver, Dennis Cooper, William Upski Wimsatt, James Hatfield, Maggie Estep, Nick Mamatas, Lydia Millet, Brian Gage, Genesis P-Orridge, Lynne Tillman and Nate Powell. Through the years of 1999 through 2001, they experienced a minor financial crisis, but have since canceled whatever debt they had.
It is located on Washington Street, Brooklyn, NY.
