SoftEther

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

SoftEther is a Japanese personal VPN software product by SoftEther corporation. SoftEther 1.0 has an English version, however it is only available in Japanese in later versions. It is similar to OpenVPN, though it is closed source software.

In 2003, its development was adopted as one of the projects of the Exploratory Youth program, sponsored by Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan. "In addition to being highly evaluated by the project manager, there were 1 million downloads in three months after making it available at the website."[1]
