Sofia Shinas

Sofia Shinas (born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada) is a television and film actress, and recording artist. She has had leading roles in two C. Thomas Howell films, "Dilemma" (1997) and "Hourglass" (1995). She's also appeared in such motion pictures as The Crow, Terminal Velocity, and "Ripper Man". She has appeared in television shows including The Outer Limits and The Hunger. She currently attends the USC School of Cinema-Television in Los Angeles, California; Class of 2007.

She released a self-titled album on Warner Bros. records in 1992. She co-wrote many of the songs and worked with noteworthy producers such as Roger Sanchez, Tommy Musto, Daniel Abraham (record producer), and Ben Grosse. Peter Daou of The Daou played guest keyboards.

Her single "The Message" reached #20 on Billboard's Dance/Club Play chart and was a crossover pop hit as well, peaking at #75 on the Hot 100 singles chart. The dance mixes were produced by Mark Kinchen (aka MK). Another single, "State of Mind", remixed by Tommy Musto and Daniel Abraham (record producer), peaked at #16 on the Dance/Club Play chart. A third single "One Last Kiss" was released with some mid-tempo remixes called the "Cupid's Arrow" mixes, but it didn't fare well enough to chart.
