[edit] School system

The Sodus Central School District is comprised of two buildings. In one is the Sodus Central Primary school, containing grades K-3. The other building is a composite of the Middle, Intermediate, and High Schools, containing grades 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12 respectively. The High School has dealt with much controversy. Just recently, the principal, Mr. Eugene Hoskins, announced that the use of the word "nigger" or "nigga" on school grounds is immediately punishable with in-school suspension. This has caused offense to a large amount of the African-American population. However, congratulations should be awarded to Mr. Hoskins for taking a meaningful and significant step towards showing that double standards cannot and will not be tolerated at Sodus Central High.
