Soconusco

Soconusco refers to the region of rich lowlands and foothills along the Pacific coast of southeastern Chiapas, Mexico. The economic center is Tapachula.
The Soconusco region is main coffee-producing region in Chiapas.
Soconusco was formerly part of Guatemala.
