The Social Democratic Party (Partido Social Democrático) was a centrist political party in Brazil. At the last legislative elections, 6 October 2002, the party won 4 out of 513 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and 1 out of 81 seats in the Senate.It was absorbed by PTB

A political party by this name existed between 1945 and 1965. Founded as a center-right party by Getúlio Dornelles Vargas together with the left-leaning Brazilian Labour Party, it elected Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira as President in 1955. It was dissolved by the military government in 1965.
