soce, the elemental wizard (born Andrew Singer) is a New York City-based rapper and producer. One of the rap scene’s few openly gay MCs, soce has been favorably featured in magazines such as the Village Voice, The New York Press, Time Out New York, The Forward, Out Magazine, Gay.Com, Gay City News, The Source, Trust Magazine (Germany), URB Magazine, American Hunger Digimag, The San Francisco Bay Times, Film Maker Magazine, Whoopsy! Magazine, and New Hampshire Union Leader, and has been praised live on the radio by Michael Musto. His religious ancestry is Jewish.

He also recently appeared on MTV and VH1. He produces music for many other performers, including the track "Lick It" by God-des and She, which they performed live on the season finale of The L Word. He also produced "The Whole World" by MF Grimm, which appears on Grimm's new album American Hunger.

In addition to rapping onstage, soce plays the violin, piano, guitar and bass. During his performances, he typically dons a wizard’s cap. His latest shows have been at the Queens Museum of Art, Central Connecticut State University, Hunter College High School, Columbia University, Sarah Lawrence College and The Knitting Factory. He has upcoming shows scheduled in Germany, the United Kingdom and Brazil. He currently has four flash featurettes: Sad and Lonely, RPG Interlude, Internet Treasure Quest and The Shortest Adventure Game You'll Ever Play. Look for four new flash cartoon videos coming soon: Party Foul, Not Ready, Slippin Away and IDL. He's also written a few ongoing stories, including Castle of DOOM, Life in Ancient Greece and the s.t.e.w. show.

soce is a graduate of Yale University and Phillips Exeter Academy.
