Socastee High School is a large, 3 story school with about 1450 students located in Socastee, SC in the Myrtle Beach metro area. The school's mascot is the Brave and the school colors are black and gold. The current principal is Dr. Browning. Socastee High School provides the International Baccalaureate (IB) program and several Advanced Placement (AP) courses for advanced students. The school is perhaps best known for it's sports teams and its involvement in the arts.

The school is one of the worst schools in the Horry County Schools district when it comes to sports. The Braves are a well known team to local businesses, which support the team with monetary or discount donations.
