Disney's Kim Possible Movie: So the Drama is the second feature-length animated movie of the Kim Possible series. This movie includes a mix of traditional animation and computer-generated imagery.
The movie premiered April 8th, 2005 on the Disney Channel, advertised as the first animated Disney Channel Original Movie (in actuality, the milestone would actually go to Fluppy Dogs, had the term have been in use then). This movie was completed after the original run of the animated television series, but it was aired before the last few episodes of the series' third season.
Originally the series finale, a fourth season of Kim Possible has been announced as of November 28, 2005, and the series continues after the movie itself. The movie also features Christy Carlson Romano's new single "Could it Be".

[edit] Plot
Dr. Drakken wants to stop Kim Possible once and for all. He somehow comes up with an ingenious plan which keeps even Shego guessing, which is surprising, considering the usual predictability of his plans. He decides to figure out Kim's one weakness by hiring men to live in a 'teen-environment' and then they report back to him on the pressures of teen life. Drakken finds that Kim's weakness is boys. She doesn't know who to take to the upcoming prom. Meanwhile, Drakken is also working on a brain-tap machine that sucks information out of one's brain, rendering them with a sort of memory-loss. He also steals a rough draft of a new toy that Nakasumi-san was inventing for Nakasumi Toys. Any toy he creates has been known to become an instant hit with children. Also, his synthodrones (goons that look like real people, but are filled with a synthetic slime) are improving and he's developing a personality enhancer for them.
In Middleton, Kim is, indeed, frustrated over the prom issue. Ron figures they will be going together, just like every other dance, but Kim tells him that this is their Junior Prom and it's different. Ron seems a bit crestfallen, but Kim's on the quest to find a real date. Monique thinks that Kim is only falling victim to Bonnie's plans. Bonnie had told Kim earlier that all the cheerleaders are going to prom with either a jock or some other popular person and that perhaps she should consider taking someone more popular than Ron.
Ron then meets a boy named Eric who happen to steal his parking spot at the school. At first, he's angry, but they start talking and Ron finds he and Eric have a lot in common. They hit it off right away and Ron decides to take Eric around and get him acclimated. At lunch, Eric spots Kim in the cafeteria line and immediately likes her and decides that he would like to go out with her. This disturbs Ron a great deal, thereby throwing off their would-be friendship.
Eric thinks this is because Ron likes Kim but the matter is instantly cleared up by an explanation that they are simply very good friends. Eric apparently takes this as an invitation to make a move on Kim as he hurriedly takes at seat next to her, which is traditionally "Ron's seat", at least that's how Ron says it. Ron attempts to stop them from meeting, but fails as the two start flirting. They spend much time together, leaving Ron out of the equation. This upsets Ron, as he understands Eric's feelings for Kim.
Kim's dad is working late one night when he doesn't return home and the family gets worried. Kim finds out that Drakken kidnapped her dad and she and Ron go to rescue him. They find him in Drakken's lair where Kim saves him from the brain-tap creature, but he doesn't remember being attacked. Drakken wanted the new technology that Dr. Possible was working on called the Hephaestus Project, which is a machine that has the ability to reproduce and grow by itself. Kim finds some of the things Drakken's working on but thinks nothing of it, not seeing a logical connection.
Ron feels left out during the following days as Kim and Eric start "dating", although it's not official. They hang out at the park, at school, Bueno Nacho, and even at Kim's house! Kim's parents take a quick liking to Eric (who would feel better to have her in by 10:00 p.m. on prom night, although her curfew allows her to be out until 11:00 p.m.). Eric eventually asks Kim to go to the prom with him and she happily accepts. In addition to losing his best friend, Ron has to deal with the fact that Bueno Nacho has stopped "Naco Night", and selling Nacos in general, and now has kiddie meals with toys. The place is always flooded with children these days and Ron can't take it anymore. This is due to a change in management. Someone bought the whole chain and replaced everything, including Ned the manager, one of Ron's few friends. Ron can't take it and breaks down on live television.
Kim then gets hint of Ron's discomfort around the current situation, and so decides to look for him, eventually finding him in his treehouse isolated and bitter. The two have a heart to heart, where Kim says sagely that things have changed - they aren't in kindergarten anymore, and it's time to grow up. Ron realizes the reality of this, and finally relents, much to Kim's relief.
It's finally prom night and Ron decides he's not going. Instead, he finally realizes that to get KP back, he's "going to do what no man should ever have to do: talk about his feelings". He thinks about going to the prom and telling Kim how he really feels about her, but then realizes how much it could damage their friendship. So he decides not to go. Instead, he makes a stop at Bueno Nacho, but finds that something's not right.
Ned tries to give him a warning by writing 'Evil' on his tray with Diablo sauce but Ron doesn't take the hint. In fact, he only notices that Bueno Nacho has further ruined his life by taking away the bendy straws. This is the last straw for Ron, no pun intended. He wants to talk to the new CEO right away and has Wade hook him up through the pay phone. When Drakken picks up saying, "Hola! El presidente speaking," Ron knows something is seriously wrong. Things become even worse when the Lil' Diablo toys from the kid's meals turn into giant, evil Diablo droids that are out to destroy Middleton.
Ron rushes over to the prom to tell Kim what's up, but Eric thinks Ron is making it up and doesn't want her to leave. Kim doesn't completely believe Ron at first, but when she double checks with Wade, she realizes he was telling the truth. Kim and Ron leave the school and head for Bueno Nacho on Ron's scooter. The Diablo droids are apparently receiving a signal from the giant taco on top of the Bueno Nacho sign. Thinking the day is saved, Kim and Ron take out the transmisson when Drakken contacts Kim through Wade, informing her that he has kidnapped Eric and only Kim can save him.
Kim runs home and retrieves a highly confidential battle suit which Wade designed for her, which is still in the test phases. Putting it on, Kim and Ron hurry to Bueno Nacho's head office, which is under Drakken's control, where Kim battles it out with Shego. When she wins, Eric comes down an escalator and they embrace, relieved to see each other unharmed. He, revealing that he is in fact synthodrone 901, turns on her suddenly by knocking her unconscious with an electric shock. Ron tries to come to her rescue, but he's knocked out by Shego, who has recovered from her battle with Kim. As it turns out, Eric was created by Drakken with a special personality enhancer that he used to make him be the perfect guy for Kim (possibly a 'more mature' version of Ron). The Diablo droids mutate using the technology from the Hephaestus Project which was stolen from Dr. Possible and everything clicks together in Drakken's plans.
When Kim and Ron finally come to, they are tied up to large Bueno Nacho promotional props. Ron, seeing all the Bueno Nacho equipment, thinks he's in heaven while Kim, realizing she had been played the whole time, is depressed, eyes flowing with tears, and feeling defeated. Ron tells her she can't give up and convinces her that her life's not over even though her boyfriend turned out to be synthodrone, admitting subtly that he has deeper feelings for her (to which Kim responds with some introspection, "Oh... Really?"). Rufus then jumps out of Ron's pocket and per instructions from Kim, dives into her backpack which is laying on the floor and uses the laser lipstick to cut them free from their bindings.
Kim and Ron then stop Drakken from launching the signal that would activate every Lil' Diablo worldwide to mutate into the evil Diablo droids. Eric admits that he only befriended Ron to get closer to Kim and insults Rufus, who doesn't take this remark lightly and promptly bites a hole in his shoe, causing the slime to ooze out of the suit, thus killing Eric. Drakken admits that maybe Kim "is all that". Shego and Drakken are sent off to jail, but not before Ron gets Drakken to finally say his name.
Kim decides the night's not completely ruined and shows up at the prom with Ron this time, holding his hand, causing the entire gym to retreat into silence. Bonnie laughs at the new couple. Instead of making fun of them, everyone else begins to cheer. Kim and Ron are embarrassed at first and feel a bit awkward as they start to slow dance to Christy Carlson Romano's new single, "Could It Be?" As the dance goes on, they become more comfortable and smile at each other reassuringly. Towards the end, they slowly lean in and kiss. Outside, the Middleton High School board reads, "The End."
