Snowballing

Snowballing is:

  • A situation in which the exercise of stop orders in a declining market or advancing market or specific share creates further downward or upward pressure, triggering more stop orders, magnifying the decline or advance.
  • In social science research, snowball sampling, or "snowballing," is a technique for developing a research sample.
  • The throwing of snowballs
  • A 1984 film comedy directed by Charles E. Sellier Jr. depicting several teenagers at a ski resort. It is often likened to the much more popular 1982 film, Porky's.
  • Debt-snowball method: A method of paying down credit card debt. Pay the minimum on all balances, except the one with the highest interest rate.
  • A type of oral sex in which a sexual partner transfers semen from his or her mouth to another sexual partner's mouth. This is popularly made reference to in the Kevin Smith movie Clerks.
  • The erotic practice of two persons french-kissing with semen in their mouths. Also known as cumswapping[citation needed]
