The Snooker world rankings for the top 32 snooker players in the 2005/2006 season are listed below. Note that as world champion Shaun Murphy qualified automatically for the ranking tournaments, and Quinten Hann (who started the season at #22) did not play due to an unspecified illness before being banned for a match-fixing attempt.
