[edit] Snafu Comics

David Stanworth's original series, Snafu Comics is a gaming comic that debuted on May 15, 2002. The strip has two main characters, Dave and Travis, and the two characters originally spent much of their time playing and commenting on video games, forming the basis of the humor in the strip. The current theme is generally current events ranging from movies, politics, and random social commentary. The strip also sometimes refers to other Internet subcultures, and sometimes features in-jokes that are explained by the news posts accompanying each comic. Although multi-part strips occasionally appear, it mostly follows a gag-a-day format. It is a weekly comic, typically updating on Mondays.

TIN The Incompetent Ninja

TIN The Incompetent Ninja, or just Tin, is Stanworth's second comic. Tin, whose name is an acronym for "The Incompetent Ninja", is an assassin who is dangerous to everyone except his intended targets. Tin repeatedly attempts to assassinate Chung Him Yuen, a character named after Stanworth's roommate, but manages only gory collateral damage. Eventually he is sent back to ninja school where he frequently makes mistakes that result in the deaths of various classmates. In some strips, Tin is pictured in bed next to a pink (female) ninja, and the focus is on sex-related humor, rather than violence. Tin debuted on January 5, 2005, and updates weekly, usually on Thursday.

Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi (also known as Powerpuff Girls D or PPGD) is a manga-styled fancomic drawn by Vinson Ngo who writes under the penname Bleedman. It is hosted by Snafu Comics. At present the comic is over 150 pages long. It is very fan-oriented, with several artists and writers influencing the work of the creator.

The comic is a crossover of sorts based on the American animated television series The Powerpuff Girls, though finding Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup slightly older and now going to school in a fictional neighboring city of Townsville known as Megaville. However evil forces soon set their sights on the girls, which will no doubt lead to conflicts as the comic progresses.

While PPG Doujinshi includes many familiar characters (drawn anime-style), the comic also sports a slew of original characters, the most noticeable being Bell, a supposed Powerpuff Girl dressed in white who works for the villains.

The comic is known to be much darker in tone than the animated series on which it is based. It is also known to have characters written in very different ways fom how they act in their respective programmes.

Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi was updated regularly on Sundays until April 10th, 2006 when Bleedman turned his attention to work on his related comic, Grim Tales From Down Below. Currently there are no updates plan for the comic until Grim Tales From Down Below is completed, which has been speculated by Bleedman himself as sometime in 2007 or 2008.

The comic was the "Outstanding Superhero Comic" and "Outstanding Character Art" winner on the Web Cartoonist's Choice Awards in 2005.

The comic has been translated into Spanish and Japanese by fans on the web.

A post on Bleedman's blog[1] heavily implies that the second saga will introduce the characters Cow (A.K.A. Supercow) (from Cow and Chicken), Danny Phantom , and various imaginary friends from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. The post also hints that Jenny from My Life as a Teenage Robot will reappear, and that the second saga villains will be an invasion force by the Irkens from Invader Zim. Also on the poster for the second saga it says the second saga will come out "2007... Or 2008. Who knows?"

Grim Tales from Down Below is a manga-styled webcomic based on the animated television series The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. It is drawn by Bleedman, a fan of the series, and is hosted by Snafu Comics.

The comic is mainly based on The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, but also draws on other series with similar themes, as well as other Cartoon Network shows. The story centers around Grim, Mandy, and their two children. While Grim Tales includes many familiar "anime-inized" characters (under a disclaimer), the comic also sports a slew of original characters, such as the children of Grim and Mandy. Grim Tales is known to be a fair bit darker than the animated programs on which it is based. The comic also shares the same universe as another Bleedman comic, PowerPuff Girls Doujinshi.

The comic itself is very fan-oriented, with several artists and writers influencing the work of the creator, Bleedman. A large amount of the Grim's Past storyline was based on a fanfiction written by Heather M. Solomon, a.k.a. SonicRose.[1]

Grim Tales is mostly updated on Sundays. Currently there are two sagas planned for the series, the current one being a flashback of sorts explaining how Minimandy gained her current, sewn-together appearance. It also gives the backstory for the comic. The second arc will concern Grim Jr. and "Her".
