Smug is a fictional object from the animated TV series "South Park". In episode "Smug Alert!" (Season 10, Episode 2), smug is a version of "smog".

According to this episode, smug occurs when people drive hybrid cars. Stan Marsh convinces everyone in South Park to drive hybrid cars, which in turn ends up creating large amounts of smug.
