I mainly edit topics dealing with chemical structure, synthesis, and reactivity with an emphasis on content and broad overviews, with citations to key publications and major reviews. Such efforts are complicated by the openness of Wikipedia, which encourages, for better or for worse, anyone to add anything which often results in the inclusion of over-speciallized information lacking context or just cruft, when the big picture has not been well explained. But these difficulties are a minor price for the strengths of Wikipedia, My vision is that WE-chem can become a truly useful - and free - source of chemical information for chemists. Ideally we could have both specialized articles and general ones that explain the basics.
