[edit] MNHS
I saw your comment about the governor images you uploaded. Unfortunately, it seems that the Minnesota Historical Society would like to copyright everything under the sun if they could. I sometimes use images from their site, but only if they were produced prior to 1923, which is the oldest something can be and still be copyrighted in the U.S. Also, the State of Minnesota has some wonky copyright ideas. In theory, stuff from the state is public domain by default, but a number of different departments requested, and now have, the ability to copyright their material. Before uploading anything more from state government sites, look around (a lot) to find any copyright notices. —Mulad (talk) 23:23, May 18, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Template:Defunct NFL teams
Sorry, I forgot to add this to the discussion: My reasons come from the following quote on Wikipedia:Categories, lists, and series boxes#Article series boxes: Alphabetical order is not preferable, as categories naturally arrange articles alphabetically, making a series box redundant. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 16:34, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Which means if you organize the teams differently, I might reconsider. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 16:36, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Defunct NFL teams revisited
Because you have bugged me, and because I have recently added content to all of the Defunct NFL team articles, I have created a new prototype at User:Zzyzx11/Sandbox/Defunct NFL teams where they are sorted by the dates of their existence. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 00:29, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry about all this, but I am also angry at myself for not thinking about that new format before having it go through the deletion process. So next time, I'll have to think of ways to improve similar templates I encounter, and posted on the talk pages, before I waste everyone's time again on WP:TFD. Have a nice day. [edit] Governors of Puerto Rico
You were the original creator of this article. Where did you get your list from? I have been unable to find any other reference to Jose Colon but I have found a transcript which seems to say that he was never Governor. (It talks about the ouster of the previous governor and that the President had appointed his successor, the governor which is on your list afterwards.) Can you please leave a note on Talk:List of Governors of Puerto Rico or leave me a message so I can get to the bottom of this. :) (I'm not from Puerto Rico. I've never been there. But still I want good articles for governors going as far back as possible. This one has stymied me.) JRP 22:33, 14 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:SB04a.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:SB04a.gif. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag, so its copyright status is therefore unclear. Please add a tag to let us know its copyright status. (If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know on the image description page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Otherwise, see Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use. Thanks so much. --Zzyzx11 (Talk) 05:28, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Monarchy
Well, of course I'd like to see myself in the role as Head of Stte of Canada, but seeing the near impossibility of that, someone of good taste is always good. Kaiser Matias 18:14 27 Aug 2005 (UTC)
