Smith's Wood

Smith's Wood is a district of Chelmsley Wood in the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull in county of West Midlands. It is a civil parish. The A452 and M6 form its north and east boundary, Kingshurst and Fordbridge its south and Castle Bromwich its west. The main secondary school (Smith's Wood School) is to be developed as a City College in the near future. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 10,943.


The stretch of the A452 that runs alongside Smith's Wood has one of the highest accident rates in the country.
