SMI is a three letter acronym TLA referring to, among other things:

• San Miguel Industrial S.A. (SMI), it is one of the biggest Peruvian textiles exporters. On June 2006, in the 332nd Edition of Peru Exporta, magazine of the Asociación de Exportadores (ADEX), it was ranked among the thirteen biggest exporters of textiles in the whole country.
• The Storage Networking Industry Association's (SNIA) Storage Management Initiative, which develops and standardizes interoperable storage management technologies, including providing conformance testing for products. (see also SMI-S)
