Please consider going to Wikipedia:Categories_for_deletion#Category:Boy_Scouts_of_America_controversy_and_Category:Boy_Scouts_of_America_controversies_to_.28he_didn.27t_say_what.29 and voting on this (we want delete) and the "Contentious issues" listing right below it (we want keep). There are constant edit wars on the "Controversies about..." article, so I don't really worry about it, but I would like to keep the contentious issues grouped together in the project as they relate to Scouting. Hi - thanks for the notice, I was going to mention the Afd bit, but Quarl done did that :-) Ati3414 also created How old is the Earth?, with the same content on Jan. 31 [1], it was turned into a redirect by User:Peruvianllama within a few minutes. I think your reorganization of the lattice disambiguation page made it disorganized. The various meanings of the word lattice are derived from, and explained by the original meaning. Well, adminship itself entails doing chores :) such as deleting pages that should be deleted. Since such things require more judgement than just editing pages the community only grants certain powers to users they trust. If you're interested in becoming an administrator but don't know anything about it yet, I suggest reading up on Wikipedia:Administrators' reading list and Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship, and voting regularly in WP:RFA. —Quarl ^(talk) 2006-02-28 06:11Z

I'm honored, but I think I'll decline. It would give me some nice powers, but I don't really see a need for them. If you're going to be adding infoboxes to knot articles, I would suggest creating a template rather than hard coding the boxes in every article--changing one template would be a whole lot easier if a change is ever needed. See Wikipedia:Infobox templates. --66.41.217.182

Thank you for your reply on my discussion page (should this have been posted there too?). I understand you mean (4. Unable to be split or made any smaller), but I still don't understand why a scalar (computing) "that can hold only one value at a time" must be referred to as this. A bit, though, I agree in a sense is 'atomic' – but even a bit is either 1 or 0. And scalar in mathematics can be any number. I'm aware of my lack of knowledge in these fields, but as far as I know the word seems irrelevant here. I hope you don't mind me asking for a deeper explanation. --Profero 08:27, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

FYI, there is no difference between a pseudoscalar in physics and mathematics, and therefore nothing to disambiguate. Its the same thing. linas 03:29, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A graph or table based on decimal values is incorrect

A graph that is based upon decimal values will not show that half-life computation ends when the number of Carbon-14 atoms is less than one. If you use decimal variables to make the graph then the graph will drop below one and continue ad infintium. The reason for using a table is to clearly show that the results of the half-life computation using integer variables overcomes this problem and allows a table or a graph to reflect the truth that when the number of Carbon-14 atoms is less than one the process of half-life decay is over. Hello Smack. I wanted to bring your attention to some recent changes to your contributions to Atomic orbital (I didn't think you would be aware of these changes because the content has since been moved to Hydrogen-like atom). Because you were the original contributor to the relevant sections (see here and here), I thought you might want to provide some input on these recent changes. Basically, some of us expressed on Talk:Hydrogen-like atom that it seemed more appropriate to not include Z in the definition for "a" and to change the relationship of "a" to the Bohr radius. I was afraid of that. I, too, know the Canyon, and everything you wrote matches my experiences. But, sadly, that strictly isn't correct for Wikipedia, because it probably qualifies as original research. :-(. I'll try and look for books that contain info, and see if I can do citations. I think it is pritty clear what user Bosoni is trying to allude to: ie Bosniaks are the heirs to Bosnia.

quite frankly wikipedia is about neutrality, and 2(Serbs and Croats)! of the 3 CONSTITUENT NATIONS of BiH have a very conflicting view with this, so therefore their view, regarding a ISSUE that CONCERNS THEM, should also be heard.

i suggested 2 neutral versions, which would be NUETRAL to ALL concerned parties, however it seems that Bosnoni is very eager to pass his very one minded revisionist agenda regarding the history of BiH.

In any event, I'll try to offer straightaway an explanation at Talk:Survival skills, although I do gather that, whilst some formulations may be unencyclopedic (in, perhaps, exorbitant detail), there don't appear to be glaring how-to problems, such that I'll remove the tag but nevertheless address my concerns on the talk page. I saw your name listed on Wikiproject Illustration or the list of graphic artists, and I thought I'd let you know that a Graphics Lab has been created on EN. Based on the highly successful French and German graphics labs, it seeks to better organise and coordinate our graphic design and photo-editing efforts. Up until now, there has been no common space on EN where users could ask for maps, charts and other SVG files to be created. What's more, the Graphics Lab has discussion boards, tips, tools and links; in sum, a good common workspace. Come help us out!
