Slue-Foot Sue

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Slue-Foot Sue was the love of Pecos Bill, according to American folklore. She was known to ride a giant catfish and possessed a fiesty character and the strength of ten men.

Some stories suggest that Slue-Foot Sue was Pecos Bill's first wife, while others simply say they were in love.

Various accounts agree that Slue-Foot Sue met her end when she was bucked from a bronco. Some say the horse was Lightning (or known in some stories as Widow-Maker), the notoriously rowdy horse of Pecos Bill.
