Slovenian hip hop

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Slovenia's first notable rapper was the skiier Jure Košir (also known as Kruši); his crew was called Košir Rap Team.

The next big breakthrough was Ali En's 1994 album Leva Scena, which also contains elements of funk and other music genres. The album was a major success. On the album there is a feature song ("V mestu nekaj dogaja") with Klemen Klemen, who later became one of the leading commercial rappers in Slovenia. In 2003, Ali En changed his artist name to Dalaj Eegol and stopped producing hip hop songs. His newer albums have a more experimental feeling. He has lost many fans due to this change in style.
