Slim Jim is a popular brand of beef snack made by ConAgra Foods, Inc. Known for their "snappy" texture, salty taste and marketing techniques aimed at teenagers, they have become very popular in the United States. Over 500 million of them are produced each year in over 18 varieties, including original, Tabasco sauce flavored, and a "chopped and formed jerky". Slim Jim is one of the most well-known examples of a food product which is listed as containing mechanically separated chicken in its ingredients, as required by the USDA.

One of the most famous advertisements for the product came from Wrestler Macho Man Randy Savage who was the spokesperson for the product until the late 1990s. Each commercial would punctuate with Savage yelling "SNAP INTO A SLIM JIM!" The Ultimate Warrior also was a spokesman for a brief period, as were Bam Bam Bigelow and Kevin Nash. Nash's ad, shot when he was competing in WWF as Diesel, was basically one of Savage's ads, with footage of him poorly spliced in. During one part of the ad, Savage's arm is in view.

Later advertisements would feature a man in a giant Slim Jim costume, proclaiming "EAT ME!". This was followed by Savage's line for a short time. For a short time, advertisements feature a crass anti-guardian angel encouraging a teen to engage in dangerous stunts.

Current advertisements show people hunting a fictitious "Snapalope" within convenience stores using urban camouflage and techniques. The Snapalope is a computer generated Antelope made from Slim Jims.
