Sligo-Leitrim (Dáil Éireann constituency)

Sligo-Leitrim is a parliamentary constituency in the north-west of Ireland. It is used for elections to Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Oireachtas (Irish Parliament).

Sligo-Leitrim currently spans the entire area of the two counties in the province of Connacht, taking in Sligo, Carrick-on-Shannon and many other areas. The constituency has an electorate of 70,460 and at present is served by 4 Teachtaí Dála (TDs). The method of election is the Single Transferable Vote form of proportional representation (PR-STV).

The Sligo Leitrim constituency is just one of a number of constituencies that will be changing at the next general election. The current Sligo-Leitrim division will be changed into the new constituencies of Roscommon-South Leitrim and Sligo-North Leitrim.

The Sligo-Leitrim constituency was created under the Electoral (Amendment) Act 1947, replacing the two previous constituencies of Sligo and Leitrim. Its size and representation were revised on several occasions, summarised in the following table:
