Deutsch: Schlafender Satyr oder Barberini Faun, marmorne Kopie eines brozenen Originals, ca. 200 v. Chr. Höhe: 2,15 m. Von Römern geplündert, wurde sie im Castel Sant'Angelo gefunden, von der Familie Barberini gekauft und in ihrem Palast in Rom aufgestellt. Heute ist sie eine Hauptatraktion der Glyptothek München (Inv. 218).

English: Sleeping Satyr or Barberini Faun, marble copy of a bronze original, ca. 200 b.C. Height: 2.15 m (7 ft. ½ in.). This statue was looted by Romans. Found in the location of the Castel Sant'Angelo, it was bought by the Barberini family and placed in their Palace in Rome. Now it is a main attraction in the Glyptothek Munich (Inv. 218).

Français : Satyre endormi, plus connu sous le nom de Faune Barberini, copie d'un original hellénistique en bronze (v. 200 av. J.-C.). Marbre, 2,15 mètres. Pillé par les Romains, le marbre est découvert sur l'emplacement du château Saint-Ange et acheté par les Barberini qui le placent dans leur palais de Rome.
