[edit] can i delete things off of my usertalk?

hey, and thanks for your answer to my question... Which i'm still wondering how you found my talk page anyways.. but my question is am i allowed to delete anything on my talk page or is it considered a "log" or "legal" matter...?Slasher600 05:51, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

Well I found your talk page because you commented on another user's page that I watch regularly. You can delete pretty much anything you like, although removing warnings is a controversial matter (some see it as vandalism, some don't). — nathanrdotcom (TCW) 05:59, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

I've deleted it. Thanks for spotting this nonsense article and helping deal with it. Canderson7 (talk) 01:36, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] subst:

That's a good question, the difference is an important one. A full explanation is located at Wikipedia:Template substitution. If you have further questions after reading that page, don't hesitate to ask away. Canderson7 (talk) 22:22, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome. Canderson7 (talk) 22:34, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Morley Bartnoff

I have reverted the removal of the tag. The article almost certainly qualifies under CSD A7, but I feel it is better to err on the side of don't-delete. You are right to be mindful of the 3RR, but it does not apply to vandalism and removing the prod tag from an article like this is vandalism. In the future, feel free to revert as many times as needed. Canderson7 (talk) 19:49, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

I like the page man, though Jon told me that Zippin is indeed head of the Science Department. Obviously formating needs a bit of work, "Excurricular" is like 10,000 feet above the chart for it. BTW in case you're wondering who I am, I took your advice in Bio and made me an account (A. Howard) I wonder whether or not the Charts' background should be purple and the type color white instead of vice versa (ya know, like the school's color format) TheMadjester

[edit] Sorry about that..

I didn't intend to mess anything up, I'm a "rookie" so to say on wiki, just trying to add the stub things to pages, was hoping someone would add it.. but its my bad.. [[HappyHarvick2962

A co brother is your wife's sister's husband or the husband of your wife's sister.Co brothers are your wife's sisters' husbands or husbands of your wife's sisters. Explanation: Co brother or Co-brother is purely an Indian English (Indish) term to describe the husbands married to two or more sisters.Like in my case the eldest sister Shanthi Alberquerque is married to me that is Phillip David. The other sisters Sathi,Sheila and Susheela are married to Manu,Anil and Peter respectively. So each of the husbands that is Phillip,Manu,Anil and Peter are co brothers to each other.Example" Peter Rodrigues is Phillip David's co brother." This relationship is different from brother-in-law. In Indian languages each relationship has a specific term for example in Tamil( the language of the gods) elder sister is 'akka' and younger sister is 'thangi';elder brother is 'anna' and younger brother is'thambi' and so on.

[edit] Worst president ever

The article is currently on AfD, and I think that's the best solution. It attempts to discuss its subject neutrally (which means it cannot be considered vandalism), but is still not necessarily encyclopedic. It looks like the consensus will be to delete. Canderson7 (talk) 11:06, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Contirbution trees

I don't know the details, but I do know that the tool server based edit counters have been having technical difficulties lately. You're right that there is some sort of error in your case. You might want to request the details from User:Interiot, who runs that particular edit counter . Canderson7 (talk) 22:16, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reminder...

When using template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template.

Also, it should be noted that signing your posts with ~~~~ is a lot more effective than using {{User}}. Happy editing! — Ian Manka Talk to me‼ 03:08, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Who do I talk to in order to lock/revert an article?

Hi. Currently there is a Wikipedia article for the high school Marin Academy.

The problem I see with this article is that practically all of the information in unverifiable due to the lack of public resources that provide research on the institution.

As a faculty member at Marin Academy, I feel that it is my responsibility to fix this, as the majority of the content on the page is fictitious and even malicious.

I think the best course of action would be for the page to be wiped and only verifiable information to be allowed on it. Certainly some factual information there now would be lost, but in the long run I see this as the only way to continue Wikipedia's goal.

Thanks for your time. I contacted you since I noticed you dealt with the article after some blatant vandalism a while ago. -206.13.48.3 18:59, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reply

I will reply to you both here and on your page, since you are an IP and i'm not sure of who you are. I strongly recommend that you get a user name.
Regarding Marin Academy, to fix the page, simply delete all unfactual information, and put in what is truthful and nessesary. Wikipedia is a wiki, which means the users decide what is credible and what is not. When you edit it, just put in the "edit summary" the nature of your edit. "revert vandalism," or "remove false information, please provide proof" would be another good one. I will keep an eye out for the page if you would like me to after you edit it. But remember, you must cite proof also as you do not want to come across as a hypocrite. If you delete alot of information, you may state it on the "talk page", and put your reasoning. Then, it will have to be contested if anyone argues with your changes. Although there has not been substantial vandalism on the page, you may list the page for protection at the Request for Protection Page. However, I'll be watching out for your page and if it is protected only registered users may edit it, as you are not logged in, you must register then.
Feel free to edit whatever you wish, or contact me with any more concerns, questions, or just to say hello.

[edit] Re: NCSY

I've been away from my computer for awhile due to exams. Thanks for taking care of the NCSY page. Have you been part of the organization? Slasher600 03:30, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

Nope, never. --Bachrach44 17:30, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hey!

You don't know me, but my name is Dan Rozenson, and I've been a longtime member up at the club in Newton South. Good buddies with Maya, Dan Hazony, those folks. I hear your name come up sometimes, usually Maya going "Abi Berin's calling me!!!!". You know how it is.

I was interested to see who started the page here--I'd been too lazy to do anything. Will you be at the big party at BU Hillel on Sunday? Let's get in touch.

[edit] Beth Sholom Synagogue

Sorry I'm responding so slowly, I meant to respond to your question earlier but it slipped my mind. Anyway, if you want to make a page for another Beth Sholom (and assuming its got some claim to notability), then call it Beth Sholom Synagogue (Toronto), move the current one to Beth Sholom Synagogue (Philadelphia), and make a disambig page in place of the old Beth Sholom Synagogue. If you need any help, let me know. --Bachrach44 16:26, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
