[edit] Curtis Sittenfeld
Salve, Slambo!
Haven't communicated with you lately; hope this message finds you well.
Thanks for looking at my Curtis Sittenfeld article on WP:FAC. I put some section heads in and rearranged the material. I don't know that there is critical appraisal of her earlier work, which as far as I've seen has been chiefly essays and journalism. Finally, what did you mean by "the titles should be the links"? I'm afraid I don't understand that objection. PedanticallySpeaking 16:22, Apr 2, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] ANPR FAC
Thanks for your comments and suggestions about the ANPR article at it's FAC. I've expanded the circumvention details slightly, but I've just come to the thought that further details should actually go towards the road-rule enforcement camera article as that is the broader topic. I'm not sure if that was the only thing that stopped you from supporting its progression, but it would be great if you had some time to take a second look. No problem if you can't – thanks for the typo copyedit there.

[edit] Western Maryland
I got an article started on the Western Maryland Railway. Please feel free to do what you can to revise or enhance it. At least its a start. Mark in Richmond. Vaoverland 21:12, Apr 5, 2005 (UTC)
Nice box, but the end year isn't coming over ?? Vaoverland 23:49, Apr 5, 2005 (UTC)
Now that is service. I went back and you'd already fixed it. <gr> Vaoverland 23:50, Apr 5, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Proposed mod to Template:Infobox SGRailroad
Hi Sean, how do you feel about a modification to this template so that the size can be optionally set to something other than 280px? You may have noticed that I've been adding a bunch of logos, some of which are a bit larger than ideal, but I hesitate to intentionally upload a lower-res version... Fawcett5 01:56, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Eh? The template resizes it to 280px, no matter what size it's uploaded as. --SPUI (talk) 05:57, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)

- SPUI, this is true, but since this scales in the X dimension, it sometimes ends up too tall, or dwarfs the associated article. It is easy to modify the template to add a size parameter, but I have not been able to figure out a way to have a default value for a parameter if the user doesn't specify...Ideally it would default to the old 280px, but with the ability to override it to something a bit smaller. Do you know how to do this? By the way, SPUI, are you happy with the consensus (do you feel there is consensus?) on the passenger train categorization scheme as currently proposed by JYolkowski? If so, I'll begin implementing the changes. Cheers, Fawcett5 12:56, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Well, if there's a way to do it as an optional param, then yeah, I don't see why not. The logo on some pages, like Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, looks quite large, while on others, like Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern Railroad, it looks just fine. slambo 13:22, Apr 11, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Magma Arizona Railroad
Thanks for the template box addition to Magma Arizona Railroad--it's nice to find other railfans, especially those who contribute to obscure articles. I'll likely be adding some new Arizona railroads in the future, keep tabs on my watchlist for what I come up with next. --Combuchan 09:09, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] (United States) vs (US) disambiguators
Hi, Slambo. It looks like we may be reopening the discussion of moving articles to have the disambiguator (United States), rather than (US). If you'd like to participate in the new discussion, feel free to contribute at Wikipedia Talk:Naming conventions (acronyms)#Rethinking this decision. Thanks! -- hike395 05:37, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] class 3 template
Hey slambo, I'd like to see the Livonia, Avon and Lakeville Railroad added to the class 3 template, but I can't find any proof that it actually is a class 3 on NY's dept. of transport site. So no change for now... Siliconwafer 17:26, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)
