Talk:Slating procedure

- In my experience, the 2AC does not say the scene number while the camera is rolling. That would waste time. Is this unusual? Kushboy 01:18, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- This is optional. I've seen it done again by the 2AC before clapping the sticks and I've also seen the 2AC simply say "marker" and clap the sticks without voice slating it. It depends on the crew.
- I've introduced the topic of voice slate to cover these valid points and to bring back into view the topic of camera angle which was lost as a result of one of these latest edits. Egrabczewski 28 May 2006.
- No reasons have been give for including this article for deletion other than a blanket deletion policy statment. This information is important to the process of filmmaking and needs to be here to give people an idea of how things are done and why. Egrabczewski. 30 May 2006.
