[edit] Slateport Market

At the Slateport Market, the player may buy items that are unobtainable anywhere else. The player may buy Secret Base goods here after obtaining the Secret Power TM from a person on Route 111. Also, a lady gives the first pokémon in your party an effort ribbon if you have maxed out their EVs.

[edit] Pokémon Contest(Ruby and Sapphire only)

The Pokémon Contest located here is the Hyper Rank contest. Inside, the player can obtain the PokéBlock Case, which is required to use the Berry Blending machines in the contest halls and also to visit the Safari Zone.

[edit] Battle Tent (Emerald only)

In Pokémon Emerald, the location of the contest hall is replaced with a Battle Tent. It is similar to the Battle Factory on the Battle Frontier, in which the player will get to choose three rental Pokémon to battle with. Upon defeating an opponent, the player receives the option to "swap" one of their rented Pokémon for one of the opponent's rented Pokémon. After three trainers and two possible swaps, a prize is awarded.

[edit] Trick House

The Trick House is located just north of Slateport City. Inside, the player has to complete a series of challenges; finding the a switch to enter the trick room of the trick house, finding a scroll in the trick room, and then finding the exit door that leads to the Trick Master. The trick master will give away prizes to the person who successfully beats the trick master's tricks. The tricks will change every time until the trick master leaves to find new ones. There are also other trainers that are waiting to battle players. It is recommended that one beats the trick house in stages, preferably before a gym leader battle, as the trainers will get stronger every time.
