Slam City Jam

Slam City Jam is the North American Skateboarding Championship held annually in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Started in 1994, the event has grown to be the largest skateboarding event in Canada. In 2005, over 25,000 people are expected to attend. The summertime event is currently being held at BC Place Stadium. It is sponsored by Solo Mobile and Vans Shoes. Slam City Jam was featured as a level in Tony Hawk's Underground. 2006 will be the first year that the event takes place outside of Vancouver, as the host city will be Calgary, Alberta, Canada at Stampede Park from August 25-27. credit: [1]
