From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi, I like your pictures, but your credit and weblink should not go on the image itself. Please put that information on the image description page instead. Thanks! Postdlf 05:30, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image:DALLASsucks!!!.jpg
For your information, I have removed this image from Washington Redskins until you give some ENCYCLOPEDIC reason how the image contributes to the content of the article. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia in which content should be presented from a neutral point of view, not a biased "fan site". See What Wikipedia is not for more info. Thank you. - By the way, I do feel that the name of the image "Dallas Sucks" is very inappropriate for an encyclopedia such as Wikipedia. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 17:43, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Washington D.C. photos
I noticed the images you uploaded and added to the Washington, D.C.. Not that I don't like them, but it made for too many photos in the article and disrupted the text alignment. For now, I have reverted it, but posed it for broader discussion in the article's talk page. In order to decide on which images to use in this and other articles, we will go to Wikipedia commons to see a repository of photos. I'm moving your Washington, D.C. photos there, now. But, in the future when you upload photos, it would help if you put them there instead of uploading them directly to Wikipedia. Also, please put them in commons:Category:Washington, D.C. or one of the subcategories, so we know about the photos. Thanks. —Kmf164 (talk | contribs) 03:47, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Dcskyln1.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Dcskyln1.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 22:26, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Arlington County, Virginia
Hey Skyfox, I wanted to let you know that I have nominated Arlington County, Virginia as a candidate for US Collaboration of the Week. The article is in need of much help and with a little group effort, it could be brought to Featured Article status! I brought this to your attention as I have seen you have contributed to the article in the recent past. Please cast your vote with your signature at the US Collaboration of the Week page under Arlington County, Virginia. --Caponer 02:09, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Jeff Costlow
A tag has been placed on Jeff Costlow, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, article #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 17:51, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
