Sky Soap was a British Sky Broadcasting channel that showed a mix of American and British soap operas, including Emmerdale and Take the High Road.
The channel began broadcasting in 1994 from the Astra 1C satellite on weekdays between 12pm and 4pm. In 1997, it moved to Astra 1B with a new start time of 11am. Sky Soap eventually ceased transmission on April 30, 1999 due to poor viewing figures.
