The SkyTrain in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada is a predominantly-elevated rapid transit system operating fully-automated trains on two lines. Built for the Expo 86 World's Fair, it has since become the world's longest automated light rapid transit system. [1] Currently, the system uses the same Bombardier Advanced Rapid Transit family of linear induction motor-driven trains as the Scarborough RT in Toronto, the Putra LRT in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the JFK AirTrain in New York. However, two lines being constructed, Canada Line and Evergreen Line, will use conventional metro and LRT technology respectfully.

SkyTrain is the world's longest automated light-metro rapid transit system, covering 49.5 kilometres through 33 stations of the Expo and Millennium lines.
