Skjeberg

Skjeberg is a village and former municipality in Østfold county, Norway. The administrative centre was Borgenhaugen.
The municipality was created as Skieberg formannskapsdistrikt in 1837. On 1 January 1968 the property Hagelund with 8 inhabitants was moved to Halden municipality.
On 1 January 1992 Skjeberg was incorporated into Sarpsborg along with Tune and Varteig. Prior to the merger Skjeberg had a population of 14,295. [1]
The urban area Skjeberg, which consists of Skjeberg and Høysand, has a population of 1,919. [2]
