Skipping Girl Sign

The Skipping Girl Sign or Skipping Girl Vinegar Sign, originally known as Little Audrey, is possibly the first animated neon sign in Australia, it is located off Victoria Street in the inner Melbourne suburb of Abbotsford. The sign shows an animation of a little girl playing with a skipping rope.
It was erected at the Nycander factory on 627 Victoria Street in 1936 to advertise Nycander Vinegar. The sign was removed in 1968 and a smaller replica was installed in 1970 at 651 Victoria Street and it now advertises "Skipping Girl" brand vinegar. The replica has been listed by the National Heritage Trust.
