Skip Kenney

Skip Kenney is arguably the greatest swim coach in college history of swimming and diving. He is one of the most respected leaders among his peers and in the sport of swimming today. Skip Kenney's accomplisments in the pool, and his reputation and leadership away from the pool is unmatched.
The level of excellence that Kenney has achieved has no rival in Pac 10 history. Kenney leads the nation in consecutive conference titles in swimming with 25. Kenney broke the Pac-10 Conference record for consecutiive titles for any sport with his 14 title. The former record was established by UCLA men's basketball,John Wooden in 1995 when they captured their 14th consecutive title. The Pacific 10 conference has named Kenney Pac-10 Coach of the Year 17 times in the last 23 years.
Kenney is also well renowned on the international circuit. He was appointed the men's coach for the U.S. team at the 2004 Short Course World Championships. Skip Kenney was head coach of the United States Men's Swimming Team at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, and assistant coach at both the 1984 and 1988 Summer Olympic Games.
Kenney is a member of the Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame as well as the International Swimming Hall Of Fame for his distinguished and eminent career achievements.
