[edit] Content
The content of Skinnie Magazine is similar in style to a cross between men's magazines such as Maxim and FHM, and music magazines such as Rolling Stone, AP and Revolver. In addition to interviews with popular musicians and athletes, Skinnie also publishes many humor articles which generally poke fun at current fads, trends, and cultural staples in Southern California lifestyle. Occasionally, columns or articles written by celebrities like Tito Ortiz, Brian Deegan, and more obscure semi-celebrities like Chef Michael Wray and KROQ Surfologist Rockin Fig have appeared. There is also a section which focuses on night life and features pictures of people at various clubs throughout Southern California and Las Vegas, as well as a calendar and directory for concerts and events in those areas.
[edit] Concerts
Skinnie Magazine promotes and produces many concerts in Southern California's Inland Empire, including the Annual FallFest, Mayfest, etc. Generally, they are known for doing shows with the Kottonmouth Kings, and have featured various punk and rock bands such as Bad Religion, CKY, The Used, Taking Back Sunday, Pennywise, and others. Skinnie Magazine occasionally produces concerts in other markets, such as the Violent Femmes in Las Vegas or Pennywise in San Diego.
