Skinhead on the MBTA

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Skinhead on the MBTA is a song by the Boston punk rock band Dropkick Murphys, a modern adaptation of The MTA Song, recorded for their first full-length album Do or Die. The Murphys' version has the same rhythm and many of the same words as the original, albeit with a very different story.

It tells the tale of a skinhead (apparently named "Skinhead" or "Skin") instead of the original Charlie. True to general skinhead ideology, the skinhead punches the train conductor when asked for his exit fee and goes on to steal the train. Several other changes are made, such as Skinhead's wife throwing him a grenade instead of a sandwich.
