SKH Tsang Shiu Tim Secondary School

Sheng Kung Hui Tsang Shiu Tim Secondary School (SKHTST) was founded in September 1978 by Sheng Kung Hui, Diocese of Hong Kong and Macao. It is a grammar school subsidized by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Since its establishment in 1849, Sheng Kung Hui has built many churches and has contributed a lot in the field of education over the decades. There are altogether 33 schools sponsored by Sheng Kung Hui in the territory and SKHTST is one of them.

The school has set as its mission the all round development of all students, with special emphasis on their growth in morality, wisdom, sportsmanship, social maturity, aesthetics and spirituality. As a result, the students have been developing positive attitudes in life-long learning, global perspective, commitment to society and creativity.

The school motto is Wisdom (智), Perseverance (毅), Health (健) and Gregariousness (群).

The Students' Union (SU) plays a pivotal role in life-wide education of the students. The SU Council has wide representation from various classes and clubs. The SU Executive Committee, which deals with day-to-day student issues, is fertile training ground for leadership.

Students are divided into four houses: Wisdom (red), Perseverance (yellow), Health (green) and Gregariousness (blue). Inter-House activities provide leadership training and strengthen the esprit de corps among members of different levels.

Extra-curricular activities include:

Air Cadet, Art Club, Astronomy Club, Boy Scout, Bread Flower Making Class, Chess Club, Chinese Society, Calligraphy & Painting Class, Community Youth Club, Computer Club, Current Affairs Club, Dance Club, Debate Club, Domestic Science Club, Drama Club, Drum Class, Award for Young People (AYP), Economics Society, English Society, Geography Society, Girl Guide, Flower Arrangement Class, Flower Pressing Class, Games Club, Junior Police Call, Library Club, Mathematics & Science Society, Model Making Class, Ornament Making Class, Music Club (Choir, Instrumental Classes, Orchestra), English Prose Reading Club, English Speaking Club, Putonghua Society, Sports Teams of Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Distance Running, Football, Hockey, Table-tennis and Volleyball.

In addition to the bilingual School Newspaper, many clubs are active in publication of their own bulletins at regular intervals.
