[edit] Cajun musicians and French wikipedia
I read your article on Rod Bernard, and wanted to suggest that you consider doing articles for the French Wikipedia at http://fr.wikipedia.org as well, particularly on Cajun music and Cajun musicians, if you are comfortable writing in French. TruthbringerToronto 07:14, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] AMA request
I saw your request on WP:AMARQ. The best course of action is to warn the user (check out WP:UTM), then file a report at WP:AIV if they keep vandalising. Unfortunatly, the IP's are AOL, and they change IP ever few minutes/page loads. If you require any more help, or you don't need any more help, post a responce under your request at WP:AMARQ. -Royalguard11(Talk·Desk) 22:48, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
- I've seen your request on my talk page for protection. I'd love to do it for you, but I'm not actually an admin. You can though post a request at WP:RFPP to get an admin's attention. Hope that helps. -Royalguard11(Talk·Desk) 19:11, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re:On "Coonass" Etymology
Thanks for letting me know. Seems I read the sentence too fast, I'll try to find some more time to reedit the article. Lucasbfr 15:57, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
- I read the article again, it appears my edit was unnecessary.. Thanks for the clarification. Lucasbfr 16:03, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Acadiana Missing?
Thanks for restoring the Acadiana article. I had no idea that it was missing. I keep it on my watch list, but have not noticed any recent activity. Aaron charles 17:27, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Lew Walt
Thanks for adding the LIFE magazine information to the Lew Walt article. Do you have access to the article? In particular, could you expand on the focus of the article? — ERcheck (talk) 23:09, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Great add to the article! Thanks. I found references to the article, but did not find any online version, so it is great to know what was said. Is the 1945 Quantico photo public domain? If so, are you planning to scan it and add it? — ERcheck (talk) 23:31, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Walter Stauffer McIlhenny
Great addition — Walter Stauffer McIlhenny!
Would you add a little more information about history with the McIlhenny company? I'd like to nominate this for WP:DYK, but I think it needs a little more company info. The DYK time-window is very short — 5 days from creation. I'll revisit it later today.
Thanks. — ERcheck (talk) 11:40, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
- The article is coming around. The right-hand side "infobox" is from Template:Infobox_Military_Person, which is part of the Military History WikiProject infoboxes. (FYI: For USMC articles, we've adopted a guideline for awards to present them in order of precedence, down to and including the Purple Heart.) — ERcheck (talk)

[edit] Carl A. Brasseaux
Great article. It has been needed. I made only slight changes, some AP style, some personal preferences. I added him to the List of UL people. I also notice he could be linked to 5 articles, one if which is a stub I started on the German Coast (I still need to develop that one). Nice to know someone out there with same interest in south Louisiana. I may hit you up for some advice/reviews later on. In the meantime, please see if I did French Louisiana justice. Thanks. All the best. Aaron charles 21:25, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] French Louisiana
Much improved by the strokes of your keys! Thank you. Aaron charles 15:34, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Anceletbook1.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Anceletbook1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:04, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- Added book cover tag.--Skb8721 16:23, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

No problem. While I have a strong dislike for links to blogs, I have yet to find that story anywhere else. Still looking for a better source. As far as protecting an article, that is usually a last resort, a page has to be hit so often that editors can't keep up with it (many times per day or even hour). This looks like we can we stay on top of it. I'll ask that particular editor to explain the constant removal; if they have no reason we should start warning them. Cheers. - Belay my last. After going through their contributions, I see nothing but vandalism and linkspamming. If they vandalize again we should file a report. Cheers. L0b0t 16:43, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
