[edit] The Led Zeppelin article
Why did you remove the "Also they kicked royal ass" line? (I didn't add it, just happened to see it). It's factually accurate, you know.
(oops, forgot to sign and date)

[edit] Infobox's
Just a couple of tips when working with infobox's or vertical list's:
1) When making a list, puncuation is NOT needed. Chicago Manual of Style: Vertical Lists, Bullets
2) Also you don't need the "forward slash" "/" when you use the "break command":
"<br>"
Thanks for you time, WikiDon 19:51, 18 September 2005 (UTC)
- I get #1. But doesn't the MediaWiki software convert
<br>
tags to<br/>
anyway? Thanks for the info.—Sixteen Left 20:00, 18 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Relient K lyrics
Why is it that when someone adds a link to a relient k lyrics page, you remove it? are you not wanting a link there? I have seen multiple links be added there for lyrics and each time they get removed. just wonder what's up about that... (Jdingman 10:07, 3 December 2005 (UTC))
- I thought it was spam, but looking at other artist articles, I see lyrics pages links, so I'll quit removing them.—thegreentrilby 14:01, 3 December 2005 (UTC)

- Ok, sounds good. I left a good link there that is precise and to the point, no fluff or popups on that page. (Jdingman 06:50, 4 December 2005 (UTC))
[edit] Request for edit summary
Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 45% for major edits and 10% for minor edits. (Based on the last 150 major and 150 minor edits in the article namespace.)
This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear impolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 03:30, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wiki's punctuation guidelines
Per your edits on Foo Fighters, I just wanted to note Wiki's guidelines for quotation marks:
Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#Punctuation
What you changed is correct for some style methods, but not the ones that Wiki utilizes. In particular, Wiki uses "logical quote style" - quotes around song titles should exclude punctuation. Further explanation is here under "Using commas and periods with Quotations, Song Titles, Article Titles, including in a Series":

[edit] GEOweasel
You removed my prod from GEOweasel, so I AfDed it. You'll probably want to register your objection to deletion. --Fuzzie (talk) 01:57, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
- Apologies if you already know this, but - you're quite welcome to remove prod notices for any reason, even if you feel the article should be deleted, it's very much meant as a "deletion only if absolutely no-one objects" system and you don't need to justify yourself. :) --Fuzzie (talk) 02:47, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Might be my fault...sorry
I accidentally hit edit this page, though I never saved anything, and your boxes were all scrunched together, then i hit my back button and they were all scrunched together, I don't think I did anything, but sorry if I did. DJREJECTED 02:12, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Vault dash
There is a separator - the blue text ends, plus there's a little link graphic (see?). I see that as sufficient, and the dash becomes superfluous. SchuminWeb (Talk) 00:04, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Choosing one template for musicians
Hello, I just posted a message in Template talk:Infobox Band, but I got no response, I hope you don't mind if I ask you directly. Currently there's two infoboxes that are used for bands: Template:Infobox Band and Template:Infobox musical artist 2. While the first one in band-specific, the second is a general infobox for all musicians and groups, that nevertheless contains the same fields. Do you think we could agree on one standard infobox to use? CG 12:59, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:12 Stones.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:12 Stones.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. bainer (talk) 15:32, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Staple (band).jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Staple (band).jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok ☠ 22:24, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
