Sitrah (Arabic: سترة), also spelled as Sitra without "h", is a city in northeastern Bahrain. It was a municipality of Bahrain in the eastern part of the country. The region of Sitrah consists of the island of Sitrah and three villages close to it on the main island of Bahrain. Its territory is now in the Central Governorate. This area is mainly inhabited by the Shia Muslim population. The Island has many villages, none of them is called Sitrah.

Wadiyan is the central village and houses the central market, police station, bank branches, and post office. The northern part of Sitra is an industrial area, known as the North Sitra Industrial Area. Many large factories like Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mills Company (GARMCO) are located in this region. The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco Bahrain) has large oil storage tank structures in Sitra. The other half of Sitra is a bustling residential area. Sitra has recently seen great improvements.

There are some private schools like Al Noor International School and The Indian School (Primary Section) in Sitra. Most car dealers have their showrooms on Sitra highway. The Sitra highway leads to the Sitra Causeway which connects Sitra to Manama island. Recently a large shopping mall has opened on the same highway.
