Site whoring is a practice by which people, usually on forums, promote their personal websites, projects, blogs or forums. This practice is frowned upon by forum administrators and moderators, and some forums, like Penny Arcade, have created entirely new forums to facilitate legal site whoring. Although not always the case, site-whoring is often considered the behaviour of noobs, although having a link to a personal website in your signature (or avatar) is often acceptable.
